I went to go and write my Exam 70-667: TS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Configuring exam on Friday last week and fortunately I passed :).

This is partly due to a number of things that counted in my favour:

• I attended the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 boot camps very early on.
• I have already upgrade 1 production farm from MOSS 2007 to SharePoint 2010 and saw the problems that occur
• As an MCT I have downloaded the Trainer Manuals and Labs for the MOC material and studied them. Even though they where in Beta.

As all good exam writing people do, I also got hold of the brain dumps from the Internet and went through them. This is also an relative term as I could only find one out there: “Microsoft.Braindump.70-667.v2010-08-15.by.10GAnsari.50q.vce” dated “30/09/2010”. Unfortunately the brain dump was completely useless and I only got 2 questions in the exam from the entire thing.

It seems that Microsoft have pre-empted this kind of thing and the exam database questions are growing at a rapid rate. I therefore strongly suggest that nobody attempts too rely on these and actually go and put in the study time :)

Now it’s time to prep some more for my first course I am delivering on the 1st of November: Course 10174A: Configuring and Administering Microsoft SharePoint 2010

I will be attempting the MCITP exam shortly and will let you know how that goes.
