Sharepoint workflow from address - can this be changed?

I have created a workflow using Sharepoint designer againsta a normal list and the workflow is working 100% but I would like to change the from address that the workflow sends.

Does anyone know if this is possible and how one would go about changing it.

Hi Darren,

I hope someone will correct me if I am incorrect here.

I believe the from address is that which is set for SharePoint in general in the central admin tool. You cannot change this in SharePoint Designer email activity.

However, you could get someone to develop a custom email activity for you, that you could use in SharePoint Designer which could ask for the email address you would like to use as the from address.

There are some custom activitis on codeplex, none of which do this exactly, but do provide a good sample for a developer.
