Poll on SharePoint
I'd like to add a poll webpart to sharepoint fillable without having to launch an external program. Can I use surveys to do this and if so...how?

I think surverys are a perfect way of doing this.
 
In fact some bright spark has developed a custom web part which uses a survey as the source for the questions and answer. The web part can be downloaded from CodePlex....here http://spuserpoll.codeplex.com/. I have personally not used it. But if you do and like it, why not present it at the tool fest IW community session.
